Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. The house was founded in Paris in 1828 by the perfumer Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. Until 1994 the house was run by the Guerlain family, when in that year it was bought by the French multinational company LVMH. Its product lines include perfumes, cosmetics and skincare products. What is special about Guerlain perfumes is that many of the house's traditional perfumes are characterized by a common olfactory arrangement known as "Guerlinade".
